SafeHaven of Tarrant County provided a place of refuge for more than 2,900 women and children seeking solace from domestic violence. Domestic violence is a growing epidemic in our community. In order to stop the violence, it is necessary for the community to band together. Through HeartCard 2008, we will continue to provide safe shelter for hundreds of victims of domestic violence who come to us each year.
This year for one week, Saturday, October 25, 2008 through Sunday, November 2, 2008, shoppers can receive up to a 20% discount on merchandise from participating retailers across Tarrant County with HeartCard. HeartCard enables shoppers to finish their holiday shopping early and receive that 20% discount on items that rarely go on sale! Shoppers purchase their HeartCard from SafeHaven for $50; cards can be used repeatedly during the sale period, with all card sale proceeds benefiting SafeHaven shelter and programs.
From fashions to furnishings, antiques to art, toys to trinkets, books to jewelry … some of Tarrant County’s most unique and elite stores participate in HeartCard every year. Take this once a year opportunity to purchase items rarely on sale while making a difference in the lives of women and children victimized by domestic violence. What a better time to do your holiday shopping than HeartCard week!
