Taking our Story to the World                                                  

SafeHaven of Tarrant County will join first global gathering of women’s shelter workers. In September, for the first time in history, women’s shelter workers from 51 nations around the world, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, will meet in one place to call for an end to the global epidemic of violence against women. Dr. Ashley Lind, Vice President of Client Services, and Mary Lee Hafley, CEO, will head to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in early September to join a three-day summit of close to 800 shelter workers.
