SafeHaven provides the women and children residing in our shelters with all their needs during their stay, including clothes, toiletries, and baby care items. Please consider donating any of these items, as well as those listed on our Immediate Needs List, which represent our most needed items this month.
School Supply Drives
Your business, church or school group can host a school supply drive to collect backpacks, school supplies, and shoes for kids staying in SafeHaven’s shelters. While the greatest need for school supplies is in August, we use donated supplies year round. For additional information, e-mail Barb Reese at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 817-535-6462 ext.120.
Every year SafeHaven opens three “Santa’s Sack” storefront sites for 10 days in December to collect donations of new toys, clothing and gifts. We then use the donated items to create the “SafeHaven Mall”, allowing our moms and children to “shop for” a special gift they can wrap and exchange with each other. To make this magic happen, we need lots of help! From donating, collecting and sorting gifts to volunteering at the stores, if you or your organization is interested in being part of a true holiday miracle, email Barb Reese at email@example.com or call 817-535-6462 X120.
Adopt a Family
Shop for and provide holiday gifts for one of our transitional living families who are working to become financially stable and independent. To Adopt a Family and receive a profile which includes sizes and specific gift wishes, or for more information, email or call Barb Reese at firstname.lastname@example.org 817-535-6462 X120.
Many clients have to start their lives all over when they leave the shelter. That means having to buy all of the basic necessities of life, which can very costly. Ana’s baskets will be filled with cleaning supplies so that they can clean their clothes and home. When they exit the shelter and into their new resident, they will receive a basket. You can help us by providing victims with a basket and cleaning supplies.
Manufacturers, retailers and other businesses are encouraged to donate in-kind goods and surplus inventory items, such as food, beverage, clothing, personal hygiene items, over-the-counter medication, furniture, mattresses, household items, linens, cleaning supplies, office equipment and supplies. For additional information, e-mail Barb Reese at email@example.com or call 817-535-6462 ext.120.
We are always looking for Individuals and businesses willing to donate their time and talents to help with special events, day to day operations, and fundraising. Among the professional services SafeHaven needs are; audio visual, videography, photography, landscaping, graphic design, printing, catering, special events, and equipment rentals. If you are interested in donating a service to SafeHaven, e-mail Krista Moffett firstname.lastname@example.org or call 817-535-6462 ext.101.
