A Note from our CEO During Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Hello SafeHaven Supporter!

Domestic Violence Awareness month started in 1981 with the “Day of Unity”, an effort of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.  The intention of this awareness month is to connect advocates from all over the United States who are working to end domestic violence.

SafeHaven is particularly excited about this October’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, primarily because of the incredibly progressive programming that’s being done in Tarrant County – at SafeHaven and with partners throughout the county.  This October we will showcase our strategic accomplishments and provide a preview of what’s on the horizon.

In the words of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, domestic violence thrives when we are silent, but if we take a stand and work together.  Please join SafeHaven – volunteer, donate, speak out – in our efforts to end domestic violence in Tarrant County.

Sincerely yours,

Kathryn Jacob
President and CEO of SafeHaven of Tarrant County
