Board & Staff

Kathryn R. Jacob, LMSW, CEO

Originally from Chicago, Kathryn Jacob studied social work at Creighton University in Omaha and post-graduate work in Fordham University in New York City.

Her work in helping others has been substantial and far reaching. From her station in the United States Peace Corps (Turkmenistan) to the other side of the world with the Appalachia Service Project, Kathryn feels passionately about issues of gender equality, domestic violence, and human rights.

In 2006, Kathryn and her husband, Benjamin, made Texas their home. Kathryn has continued to passionately fight for those in need through her service at The Salvation Army and the Housing Crisis Center in Dallas.

In 2015, Kathryn made the move across the Trinity River and now happily serves as the President and CEO of SafeHaven of Tarrant County. We are proud to have her as part of the SafeHaven Family.
