Adventure Camp: Paul Quinn College Week

Paul Quinn College Week

Adventure Camp headed to Dallas this week to tour Paul Quinn College!

African American Museum of Dallas

Adventure Camp kids visited the African American Museum of Dallas to experience the museum's rich heritage of black art and history.

The African American museum is the only one of its kind in the Southwest Region devoted to the preservation and display of African American artistic, cultural and historical materials. It has one of the largest African American Fold Art collections in the United States.

Paul Quinn College

Paul Quinn College hosted kids from Adventure Camp on Friday for a tour and a look into the We Over Me Farm on campus. The college converted its football field into an organic farm to provide fresh, healthy, affordable food options to surrounding residents in the fight to end food insecurity.

SafeHaven kiddos learned about the different fruits, vegetables and herbs grown at the farm and even volunteered their time on the farm in the afternoon.

They also toured the Paul Quinn campus - visiting classrooms, dorm rooms and student services areas - and learned about its rich history in the Dallas area.
