Note:  All collaborative partners provide services onsite at SafeHaven’s emergency shelters.

John Peter Smith Hospital and Outreach Services –

  • JPS staff register clients in JPS Health Network
  • Designated appointments set aside for SH clients at behavioral health clinic
  • Weekly set aside appointments at Trinity Springs for assessment and medication
  • Nurse provides monthly onsite group on health and preventive care
  • Free HIV testing

Legal Aid of Northwest Texas-

  • Assesses clients for representation

Recovery Resource Council-

  • Assessment for substance abuse issues
  • Priority appointment for any urgent client needs
  • Drug prevention groups and activities for child residents

Tarrant Area Food Bank-

  • Application assistance for SNAPs /Food Stamps, Medicaid and TANF benefits

MHMR of Tarrant County-

  • Assessments for mental health services

Child Protective Services-

  • Formal MOU and designated liaison to assist in facilitating services

Mission Arlington-

  • Transportation and other assistance with basic needs

Head Start-

  • Information and assessment for services

Hugworks-

  • Therapeutic musical program for children

Alliance for Children-

  • Groups for children dealing with appropriate touch and abuse
