Intimate partner violence is a men’s issue.
It is a men’s issue because it is men’s wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends whose lives are limited by violence. It is a men’s issue because it is a minority of men who treat women with contempt and violence, but it is up to the majority of men to create a culture in which this minority is unaccepted.
We would love for you to join our men's auxiliary group, CREW (Compassion, Respect and Empathy for Women). CREW provides the vehicle to take your support a step further with an annual membership fee of $75 or a lifetime fee of $1,000.
There are so many great ways you can show your support with membership:
- Host cookouts and breakfasts for families staying in shelter
- Promote healthy relationships, positive self-esteem and leadership through mentoring and homework assistance to children in shelter
- Provide moral support for survivors of domestic violence during court hearings
- Volunteer at Camp Heart, a weekend camp for children in our SafeLiving program
