Nominate someone for a Legacy of Men award today.

Ending domestic violence has long been viewed as an empowerment movement just for women. But it is crucial that we have the support, advocacy, and leadership of men. From CEO’s to high school coaches, politicians, teachers, fathers, grandfathers, community and business leaders, college students, and everyone in between — the more men who stand up and speak out against domestic violence, the closer we come to ending it.

SafeHaven’s annual Legacy of Men event offers men the opportunity to do just that. Legacy of Men seeks to acknowledge and support men who speak out against domestic violence and whose continued efforts profoundly affect the safety of many families right here in Tarrant County.

Previous honorees include:
  • Former mayor of Fort Worth, Mike Moncrief
  • Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboy and SCORE Foundation founder
  • Mike Stone, Chairman of Fort Worth Cats Baseball Club and devoted supporter of ending violence against women and children since the late 1970s
  • David Russell, VP of External Affairs at Verizon
